Clara Aranda Studio - reNEWal Collection

Clara´s design identity is inspired by the nature, art and family background. I enjoy story telling and using symbolism to express the message, the meaning and values of each collection. 

Clara Aranda´s essence is characterized by the organic silhouettes, the improvising of different pattern techniques to achieve different types of shapes in the garments. Also, the use of prints in a very balance way. The colour palette I always use is based on beige, nudes and pastel colours combined them with white and black (only for details). 

Modern and dreamy collections with full of feminine details and the Mediterranean essence where I come from. 

The design aesthetics are feminine and delicate, focussing on details, using silk like fabrics and very soft and light, but combining them with canvas or a thick / strong fabric. prints and a soft colour palette are very characteristic in my design identity. 

My designs are always made for a group of people with strong values based on open minded, diversity, sustainability, powerful and independent, elegant and sophisticated. 

For her final degree project, Clara has developed the reNEWwal Collection, based on gender equality, inspired by the Goddess Venus from the painting “The Birth of Venus” by Botticelli.
Standing up for gender equality that promotes good a relationship between men and women, she decided to create a men’s wear collection with feminine touches inspired by the values of Venus, which highlight female empowerment. The garments are transformable and they enhance a different look in men and women.

All the fabrics are hand made with natural dye techniques with blueberries and digital print, using delicate materials such as organza.

She has been selected for the Sustainable talent Program in her university, involved in the launch of the app SUSTAIN AR. This is a virtual fashion show app by VIA Design, demonstrating their graduates design collections in Augmented Reality (AR). Experience the diversity first-hand in this immersive fashion experience, where models and clothes have been scanned through Photogrammetry, for a hyper photorealistic expression, and placed within artistic appealing virtual environments. Choose between five different virtual worlds, with different designs seen in your real environment through AR. Click on each of the models and hear the designers themselve present their work and see an additional lookbook. Use the camera and video function within the app to capture the moments and save them to your camera roll forever, to share on social medias.
